The Nastassia Starr Anderson Foundation was founded from love, loss, and purpose. Created in honor of Starr, the foundation transforms grief into action by empowering youth through writing and creative expression. Starr believed deeply in the power of words to build confidence, raise awareness, and create meaningful change—principles that guide every aspect of our work.
The foundation exists to uplift young voices and provide youth with opportunities to discover their identity, share their truth, and recognize the value of their story. Through structured, youth-centered programs, we promote self-expression, personal growth, and confidence while creating safe spaces where young people feel heard, supported, and encouraged.

Our Mission
The NSA Foundation is a Youth Empowerment Program designed to educate, inspire and stimulate young minds by providing the knowledge and skills needed to avoid the risks of problems by using creative writing as a catalyst for personal transformation and growth.

The NSA Foundation, Inc. was created in loving memory of Starr... the Inspiration Behind Our Foundation.
Starr was more than a name-she was a bright light, a force with a bold voice, a presence that couldn't be ignored. Her creativity, compassion, and charisma touched everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

A Multi-Talented Star
A gifted writer and poetic soul, Starr had a way with words that could heal, inspire and ignite change. But her brilliance didn't stop there, writing was only one facet of her many talents.
She was a passionate and funny actress, a comedic impersonator with impeccable timing and a sharp tongued truth-teller who could make a room erupt in laughter and reflection all at once.
​Starr's artistry extended to music as well- whether strumming the guitar or playing melodies on the piano, she found joy in creative expressions using sound to express what words sometimes could not. She didn't create art-she was art.

Her Mission, Our Movement
​More than her talents, it was Starr's heart that defined her. She was a fierce advocate for the voiceless, especially youth - encouraging them to speak up, dream big, and show up as their full selves. She championed those who often felt unseen or unheard. Starr believed that every young person had something valuable to say, she made it her mission to make space for them to say it.
